Polled Canadians Call for Healthcare Fix



An overwhelming 83 percent of doctors believe there is an “urgent” need to fix Canada's healthcare system, but they are split on whether a fundamental transformation is required, or if necessary improvements can be made by tinkering with the current system.

That is the message from the most extensive survey of the medical profession ever done.

Results of the poll of 2,268 physicians were presented in camera to delegates to the Canadian Medical Association conference in Saskatoon, but a copy was obtained by The Globe and Mail.
