Billionaire developer Donald Trump has endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for re-election in a video posted on YouTube on Tuesday.

Trump, speaking from his office in New York, said that he is “a big fan of Israel,” the International Business Times reports.

“Frankly, a strong prime minister is a strong Israel,” Trump said, “and you truly have a great Prime Minister in Benjamin Netanyahu. There’s nobody like him. He’s a winner. He’s highly respected. He’s highly thought of by all.

“People really do have great, great respect for what’s happened in Israel,” Trump added. “So vote for Benjamin. Terrific guy. Terrific leader. Great for Israel.”

Trump was asked to make the endorsement by Israeli Republican political consultant Jonny Daniels, the IBT reports.

Netanyahu’s Likud Party is widely expected to win the Israeli elections on Jan. 22.
