LIGNET: Peace Will Prevail in Northern Ireland, Says Expert

Dr. Martyn Frampton, a professor of history at the University of London and an expert on Northern Ireland, tells LIGNET that the recent riots in Belfast reflect the grievances of a small number of Protestant unionists who see the peace process as eroding their culture and identity. There are good reasons, he says, to believe that Northern Ireland is still on track to peaceful coexistence between Catholics and Protestants.
