After years of bickering, Hamas and Fatah are returning to the bargaining table to talk about a political reconciliation. The two Palestinian groups have made some strides toward cooperation and are enjoying momentum after Hamas stood up to Israel in November and Fatah’s Palestinian Authority won a diplomatic breakthrough at the United Nations. But there are some major obstacles standing in the way of unification.
