Despite the intensity of the protests in Egypt yesterday, which saw 100,000 people rally outside the presidential palace, Muslim Brotherhood-backed President Mohammed Morsi is likely to succeed in pushing through a new constitution that grants him and his Islamist allies vast new powers.
